# url_parse

Parse, normalize and clean URLs offline: scheme, credentials (redacted), host type, port, path segments, decoded query parameters and fragment; registrable domain / subdomain / public suffix; IDN to punycode and back; RFC 3986 normalization (case, default ports, dot segments, percent-encoding) plus optional removal of known click-tracking parameters (utm_*, gclid, fbclid, msclkid, _hsenc, mc_eid...), query sorting and fragment stripping; flags URL shorteners. Up to 50 URLs. Price: $0.001 USDC per successful call (x402, Solana). Same tool over HTTPS: GET https://scorptech.it.com/api/x402/v1/url-parse

## Example call (MCP tools/call, JSON-RPC 2.0)

```json
{
  "jsonrpc": "2.0",
  "id": 1,
  "method": "tools/call",
  "params": {
    "name": "url_parse",
    "arguments": {}
  }
}
```

## Why url_parse is rated High

url_parse triggers real processes with real consequences. An agent gone sideways doesn't fire it once. It starts dozens of builds, sends mass notifications, or burns through compute before anyone looks up.

Risk signals: Accepts URL/endpoint input (url)

## Use case

AI agents invoke url_parse to trigger actions in ScorpTech x402 API. What it does depends on the arguments the agent supplies, and its effects often reach beyond the immediate call: builds kicked off, notifications sent, workflows started.

## Recommended policy (PolicyLayer)
