Remove an MCP server from NCP configuration. First use

Agent View of the PolicyLayer registry record for `remove`. HTML page: https://policylayer.com/tools/io-github-portel-dev-ncp/remove

## Facts

- Tool: `remove`
- Server: Ncp (`@portel/ncp`) — https://policylayer.com/tools/io-github-portel-dev-ncp.md
- Install: `npx -y @portel/ncp`
- Homepage: https://github.com/portel-dev/ncp
- Risk category: Destructive (Critical risk)
- Registry record: grade F, identity unverified
- Server rate-limited: no
- Parameters: 0
- Recommended policy verdict: Hidden

## Example call (MCP tools/call, JSON-RPC 2.0)

```json
{
  "jsonrpc": "2.0",
  "id": 1,
  "method": "tools/call",
  "params": {
    "name": "remove",
    "arguments": {}
  }
}
```

## Why remove is rated Critical

The tool removes MCP servers from the orchestration configuration. While the word 'remove' could theoretically be reversible, removing a server from an N-to-1 orchestration gateway's configuration is a destructive action that eliminates routing, tool discovery, and integration for that server.

From the tool's own definition: "Tool name 'remove' combined with description 'Remove an MCP server from NCP configuration' indicates irreversible deletion of configuration state. This alters the system's persistent configuration in a way that cannot be automatically undone."

## Use case

AI agents call remove to permanently remove resources in Ncp, typically in cleanup and lifecycle workflows. It does its job in a single call, and there is no undo.

## Recommended policy (PolicyLayer)

Verdict: **Hidden**. Enforced by the PolicyLayer MCP gateway (https://policylayer.com/mcp-gateway) before a call reaches Ncp:

```json
{
  "version": "1",
  "default": "deny",
  "hide": [
    "remove"
  ]
}
```
