## Example call (MCP tools/call, JSON-RPC 2.0)

```json
{
  "jsonrpc": "2.0",
  "id": 1,
  "method": "tools/call",
  "params": {
    "name": "enable_plugin",
    "arguments": {
      "plugin_name": "<plugin_name>"
    }
  }
}
```

## Why enable_plugin is rated Medium

This tool modifies the .uproject configuration file to enable a plugin. While technically reversible (the plugin can be disabled again), enabling an untrusted or malicious plugin could have serious security implications. It doesn't delete data, but it does persistently modify project configuration and could introduce new attack surfaces or functionality.

From the tool's own definition: "'Enable a plugin in the .uproject file' — modifies the project configuration file to activate a plugin"

## Use case

AI agents use enable_plugin to create or update resources in Unreal, usually the action step of a workflow, after the agent has gathered context. Every call changes real data in your Unreal environment.

## Recommended policy (PolicyLayer)

Verdict: **Rate-limited**. Enforced by the PolicyLayer MCP gateway (https://policylayer.com/mcp-gateway) before a call reaches Unreal:

```json
{
  "version": "1",
  "default": "deny",
  "tools": {
    "enable_plugin": {
      "limits": [
        {
          "counter": "enable_plugin_rate",
          "window": "minute",
          "max": 30,
          "scope": "grant"
        }
      ]
    }
  }
}
```
