# cap_table_update_cap_table_agreement_status

Moves a cap-table agreement to a new status (for example completed once signing finishes, or void to retire an unsent draft); the stored PDF is kept. Voiding a SAFE is refused with FAILED_PRECONDITION when the SAFE is signed, or when its signing request is still out — the envelope must be voided first, because voiding the agreement alone leaves the investor able to sign it. For a SAFE with a document on file it reads the document hub first, and refuses when the signing state cannot be confirmed there: when the hub is unreachable tell the user to try again shortly, and when the SAFE is not filed in documents tell them support has to file it first. Do not retry in a loop.
