## Example call (MCP tools/call, JSON-RPC 2.0)

```json
{
  "jsonrpc": "2.0",
  "id": 1,
  "method": "tools/call",
  "params": {
    "name": "mdk4",
    "arguments": {}
  }
}
```

## Why mdk4 is rated High

MDK4 is a wireless attack tool capable of executing denial-of-service, deauthentication floods, and other disruptive operations against wireless networks. Even though the description is empty, the tool name and context (offensive security platform, sibling wireless attack tools) strongly imply execution of potentially destructive network attacks.

From the tool's own definition: "Tool name 'mdk4' refers to the well-known wireless network stress-testing and attack tool (MDK4), used for beacon flooding, deauthentication attacks, and other disruptive wireless operations."

## Use case

AI agents invoke mdk4 to trigger actions in Nyxstrike. What it does depends on the arguments the agent supplies, and its effects often reach beyond the immediate call: builds kicked off, notifications sent, workflows started.

## Recommended policy (PolicyLayer)

Verdict: **Rate-limited**. Enforced by the PolicyLayer MCP gateway (https://policylayer.com/mcp-gateway) before a call reaches Nyxstrike:

```json
{
  "version": "1",
  "default": "deny",
  "tools": {
    "mdk4": {
      "limits": [
        {
          "counter": "mdk4_rate",
          "window": "minute",
          "max": 10,
          "scope": "grant"
        }
      ]
    }
  }
}
```
